Tyra Banks is "difficult" to work with, staff on her chatshow have reportedly said.

Banks announced the end of The Tyra Banks Show earlier this week, but her former employees have now allegedly described her as a "diva".

"There had been a high turnover of employees for years," a source told the New York Daily News, adding that it was "pretty difficult to work for Tyra".

"She and the higher-ups on the production staff could be extremely brutal," the insider added. "She really is a diva."


The source added that it "wouldn't be surprising" if rumors that staff hadn't been told about the end of the chatshow were true.

"When the show moved from LA to New York, several staffers weren't even directly told about the change," the insider said. "They heard through the grapevine it was going to move locations. Even so, a lot of those people gave up their lives on the West Coast so they could continue working for the show. Now they're out of luck."

Another insider agreed that the America's Next Top Model host is hard to work with, explaining: "Everything had to be done Tyra's way."

However, one employee claimed that they had enjoyed working with the former supermodel.

"Honestly, I don't know how it would be to work under her," the source said. "But for me, it was a good experience. Tyra just knows how she likes things done. And as for her 'diva-ness', well, it sells."

Is anyone surprised even a little bit? Because I'm not. I swear one of my favorite 2009 memories was getting to ask Adrianne Curry if Tyra was as bat shit in person as she seemed on TV. The answer was of course yes.

Rumours float of Britney Spears visiting Kerala

The popular tourist destinations of Kottayam and Alappuzha in Kerala were Tuesday evening agog with rumours that popular US singer Britney Spears was arriving on a private visit with her kids.

Tomy Pullikattil, who owns a fleet of houseboats on the Vembanad Lake, said he had been flooded with phone calls asking if the news was correct.

"I must have received a 100 calls including from abroad asking if Britney is indeed visiting. Even the district collector called me to inquire if it was true, and to all I have given the same answer - that I too have heard about it. I also got a few calls from anxious resort owners from Kumarakom," said Pullikattil.

Meanwhile, a report from London said the pop star has apparently cancelled the visit after learning that the paparazzi have already reached here.

A few years ago another hugely popular singer Paul McCartney went unnoticed even after moving around in the capital city attending a temple festival. It was only after he boarded the aircraft did his travel agent reveal that the singer had been in Thiruvananthapuram.

For the last week or so I have been having these really weird feelings in my lower abdomen/pelvic region. The best way I can describe it is a tightening, then pushing/pulling feeling, and sometimes a slight fluttery feeling. I have had my period since I was 13 and have never had this feeling, so I don't think it's just PMS related. It is not painful in anyway, just really weird. The people I described it to said that's exactly what a baby kicking around feels like. I have had a completely normal 28 day cycle wrt my period since the last time I had sex, and I have ALWAYS, without fail, been completely on schedule as far as my periods go. I had 2 negative pregnancy tests, so I'm pretty positive this isn't a pregnancy. I'm just wondering what else this feeling could be? I don't have insurance, so I don't just wanna go to the doctor if this isn't anything serious at all( and really my only options at this point would be ER/Urgent Care.) Also just FYI I DO NOT cannot stress enough DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT WANT TO BE PREGNANT (so it's really not just wishful thinking/hoping/etc.) I'm just at a loss, because every symptom I google comes up with something pregnancy related.

First, I just wanted to say thank you to those kind ppl who answered my last question. Based on the responses, I have given a lot of thought to getting a VCH piercing. I've done a lot of research and looked at a lot of pictures but I'd like to know what you guys think about it. What was the experience like? Did it enhance your sensitivity? Was it worth the money/trouble?

A source tells us: “Britney wanted to focus her attentions on a new hobby and that’s massage.

“She has always been interested in herbal and alternative medicines.

“Now she has undergone a herbal detox and had a three-hour class about what oils work on various skin conditions.”

What with her scanty togs and butt-thrusting dance moves, we reckon Brit will fit right in at the local massage parlour.

Tuesday night Thomas Dekker was spotted dining at LAVO inside The Palazzo. The actor, who was last seen in Fox TV’s Terminator: the Sarah Connor Chronicles and is in the upcoming film A Nightmare on Elm Street was joined by friends for dinner. Dekker sipped Prosecco while enjoying Penne a la Vodka, and helped a lone women dining nearby celebrate her 66th birthday by sending her a drink.

Nicole Richie is SO pretty. Nicole Richie is so cute. And the way she’s still flirting with Joel Madden after 2 years and 2 children is even cuter. Here they are last night courtside at the Laker game enjoying a date night off from their kids. Must be a relief. Of course knowing the cameras were on them obviously makes a difference. But by all accounts, there is a genuine bond between Nicole and Joel that extends beyond parenthood – right now they are solid, very happy, and there’s no Ebola influencing their lives. All good.


Big year ahead for Nicole. She continues to promote and expand her fashion line and she’s signed a television deal with ABC to star in and produce a half hour comedy. Like scripted, not reality. You know I love Nicole. Am not sure however if she can act. A cameo is one thing. Holding the entire show together is another. But the clothes will be amazingness.

Taking a page from Broadway and George Lucas, Scholastic Inc., the children’s book publisher, is trying for a revival — with a prequel attached.

In April the company plans to reissue repackaged and slightly revised versions of the first two volumes in one of its most successful series, “The Baby-Sitters Club,” in the hopes of igniting enthusiasm in a new generation of readers. And just as Mr. Lucas brought “Star Wars” back with a whole new arc of stories that began before the original series, Scholastic is publishing a newly written prequel, “The Summer Before,” by Ann M. Martin, the original author of “The Baby-Sitters Club” books.

The move follows Scholastic’s 2008 resuscitation of “Goosebumps,” another of its most popular series. For now Scholastic and Ms. Martin only have plans for the one prequel, although the publisher will release three more reissues of the original series later next year.
